PRESS RELEASE

 April 2, 2002

On February 24, 2002, the sixth anniversary of the shoot-down of two civilian Brothers to the Rescue (BTTR) airplanes by Castro’s MiGs, BTTR announced a contribution to the war against terrorism in support of President Bush’s "Homeland Security Initiative". Today, we unveil the first informative billboard addressing the subject of Castro’s Cuba, and its terrorist threat to the U.S.

This first billboard, erected in Miami, is intended to seed a project of a larger scale in the U.S., to communicate and inform the American public on the danger of terrorism from Cuba. This same message will appear on April 8th in Roll Call, a Washington, D.C. publication, which is widely read by members of Congress.

Future billboards will also address the dangers of extending credits to Cuba for the purchase of food supplies, such as grain exports, which will become a burden to U.S. taxpayers. Cuba’s bankrupt regime is delinquent in the payment of its present foreign debt to different countries, which exceeds eleven thousand two hundred million dollars. American credits will provide Castro with much needed resources to stay in power and to continue to be a terrorist threat to the U.S.

We also propose to target the districts of those unscrupulous or uninformed congressmen, with only greed in mind, who are traveling to Cuba and befriending Castro, a tyrant of his people and the murderer of American citizens,. We will inform these congressmen’s constituents about the plight of the Cuban people and the terrorist threat to the U.S. that Cuba’s present government represent.

We urge all organizations or persons interested in providing financial support to this campaign, to contact BTTR, either by mail, e-mail or telephone:
